I work with many tarot decks, choosing the one that speaks most clearly for each reading. One of my trusted old companions is the original Mythic Tarot, written by Juliet Sharman‑Burke and Liz Greene, with Giovanni Caselli’s expressive illustrations — full of mythic personality, emotion, and story. There is a newer reprint of the Mythic Tarot, but although the text follows the same authors’ system, the artwork is completely different. Caselli’s mythic characters and scenes carry a depth and narrative quality essential to my intuitive style, so I don’t use the modern reprint with its simplified illustrations.
The Decks I Use
I don’t work with just one deck — I use many, choosing the one that fits the moment, the question, and the person sitting with me.
I have 2 faithful decks
Legend: The Arthurian Tarot by Anna‑Marie Ferguson, painted in soft, mist‑washed watercolour. Each card is a moment from Arthurian lore, gentle and atmospheric, perfect for reflective readings.
And Arthurian Tarot by Caitlín and John Matthews, a deck rooted in Celtic myth and the Hallowquest journey. It’s rich, symbolic, and deeply spiritual a deck to guide you through myth
I believe the right deck will present itself on the day.
Choose a path that calls to you.
In the old stories, every seeker faced a crossroads. A moment where the mists parted, and the next step revealed itself through symbol, omen, or quiet knowing.
My readings honour that tradition. Each one is a conversation between you, the cards, and the mythic currents that run beneath your life.
How My Readings Work
I always begin with the Legend Arthurian Tarot (Anna‑Marie Ferguson), opening with Merlyn’s Mirror — a gentle, reflective spread that sets the tone for the reading. When the story deepens or the path twists, I occasionally turn to the Matthews Arthurian Tarot for further clarity, letting its Celtic structure sharpen what needs to be seen
From there, the path unfolds.
Most readings close with Raglan Castle — a 9‑card spread offering the question, the why, the advice, and the outcome. It gathers the threads of your reading and offers grounded, practical guidance for the road ahead.
Sometimes, the Mirror asks for more.
When the energy calls for deeper insight, I may bring in Standing Stone or The Grail, spreads that explore the soul‑level themes, emotional truth, or undercurrents of your situation. These are not chosen in advance. They appear only when the Mirror reveals that they are needed.
Your reading is shaped by intuition, story, and the cards themselves. No two readings are ever the same. We follow the path that unfolds gently, honestly, and in your rhythm.
Everything is illuminated.
